Unleash your artistic imagination, enhance your storytelling talents, and immerse yourself in the vivid colours on the streets of Braj Bhoomi with Ganesh Vanare: "Mastering the Art of Festival Photography." In this workshop you will get the opportunity to undergo on-the-ground training, personal mentorship, and the art of capturing the festival through your camera lens.
The workshop will be conducted in English and Hindi.
This Tour is accessible to 8 participants only.

Join Our Photography Tour in Braj.

This workshop is designed for anyone who wants to improve their photography skills and learn how to capture the beauty and energy of festivals. You will explore important techniques like understanding light, freezing moments, telling stories through photos, and using social media to share your work.

Each day includes on-field shooting and simple lessons to help you take better pictures. You will get a chance to shoot alongside Ganesh Vanare, who will guide you with real-time tips and feedback.

You will also learn how to frame stories, capture emotions, and make your photos stand out. The workshop will end with a review session where you’ll discuss visual storytelling through Photography and how to create meaningful projects. This is a great opportunity to grow as a photographer and capture the magic of Holi in Braj.

Ganesh Vanare is a Mumbai-based photographer who captures the beauty of everyday moments. His work covers travel, street photography, and commercial projects, focusing on landscapes, culture, and human connections.

HOLI WORKSHOP EXPERINCE
WHAT WHEN WHERE
What: Ganesh Vanare as photographer and mentor, will lead a photography workshop titled "Mastering the Art of Festival Photography"
When: 6th to 10th March, 2025 (4 Nights 5 days)
Where: Barasana & Nandgaon (27°39′01″N 77°22′25″E) Shri Radha Rani Temple, located in Barsana in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Drive: Drive from Delhi Airport to Barsana. The distance is about 130 km and the trip take about 2 hour and 30 minutes.

Train: Take a train from Delhi to Mathura Junction, then take a taxi to Barsana. The train from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Mathura Junction takes about 1 hour and 27 minutes.
Workshop Detailed Schedule
Day 1
6th March’25 (Thursday) – Theoretical Session
12:00pm | Check-in the Vrindavan hotel and make yourself comfortable with the accommodations.
01:00pm | Let’s have Lunch together.
03:00pm | Introductory meeting, a tour briefing and session on "How to Shoot Holi Festival" will go over several camera and personal safety precautions. The "How to Wrap Your Camera" tutorial in real time.
04:00pm | Self Exploration: Leave for lanes in Vrindavan and Yamuna Ghat Aarti
07:00pm | Back to hotel and freshen up
08:30pm | Dinner and overnight sleep
Day 2
7th March’25 (Friday) - Practical Session
09:00am | Breakfast
10:00pm | Depart for Barsana to witness the uprising of colours and Laddus that is Laddu Holi. The devotees gather in large numbers at Shriji Temple and Laddus (sweet balls) are thrown at them amidst colours, songs and dances.

08:30pm | Dinner
Day 3
8th March’25 (Saturday) - Theoretical Session
08:00am | The Session (Understanding Light and Its Quality).
09:00am | Breakfast
10:00am | Depart for Barsana to observe another festivity happening in the streets called Lathmar Holi.
07:00pm | Back to hotel
09:00pm | Dinner and rest well for main event.
Day 4
9th March’25 (Sunday) - Practical Session
08:00am | Breakfast
09:00am | One of the most awaited highlights of the Holi celebration will be witnessed in Nandgaon. Arrive at the temple area, thereafter explore and take pictures of Nandgaon's streets.
01:00pm | As we enter the Shri Nand Baba Temple, we will be able to observe the vibrant waves of colour that fills the space.
7:00pm | Back to hotel
8:00pm | Dinner.
Day 5
10th March’25 (Monday) - Theoretical Session
09:00am | Breakfast.
09:30am | Final presentation of the work and certification of workshop.
12:00pm | Check out.

Payment of feesThe full amount must be paid prior to the start of the workshop. The participant may forfeit their workshop slot if they do not make the payment by the deadline.

Changes in ProgramTo maintain the level of the workshop or to handle unanticipated situations, Ganesh Vanare & Roshani Shah has the right to modify the announced program.

Cancellation by ParticipantsIf receive notification of the cancellation at least 45 Calendar days before the workshop's first day, we will reimburse all registration fees, with the exception of a 10% administrative fee. Cancellations made between 44 and 30 Calendar days prior to the start of the workshop will result in 50% fees. If a cancellation is made fewer than 29 Calendar days before the start of the workshop, 90% of the price will be applied.

LiabilityAny personal property lost or damaged during the session Ganesh Vanare & Roshani Shah is not Responsible. It is recommended that participants have the proper insurance.

Copyright and use of imageAlthough workshop participants maintain complete ownership of the images they produce, Ganesh Vanare & Roshani Shah retains the right to use the photos for marketing as long as the creator is properly credited.
